Some residents are delighted that the Town of Mount Pleasant plans to build a $743,000, 3,000-feet long by 10-feet tall sound barrier to shield Snee Farm residents from increasing road noise as the town widens its northern end of U.S. 17 six lanes.
But others say it's a poor use of money that will make visitors thing we're trying to hide something.
